Late last year, I started working on a new full-length record with Archie Powell and the Exports. Archie really wanted to challenge himself to explore some new territory on this record; he ended up deciding to really feature keyboardist Ryan Lynch more in the production process this time around, and as such, we put a lot of time and attention into synth sounds and parts for this release. We tracked drums at my favorite big-tracking room in town, then did all the synths and vocals at my place. We had great lineup of synths ready to go, including my Prophet 6, Pro 2 and Moog Minitaur, as well as Ryan’s Roland, Microkorg and Korg keyboards. We ended up with a pretty dense, yet extremely hooky and unique record.  I mixed it mid-year and it should be making its way out to the universe soon!
